The empirical probability of collision of the Philips method is plotted against storage size and compared with the theoretical expression (28). The theoretical plot uses a binary transition matrix with calculated using (42) and the correlation coefficient determined empirically from hash sequence data. Hashes are generated from normally distributed i.i.d input signals. Each frame corresponds to 0.37 seconds of a 44.1 kHz signal.
